This set provides a variety of processes that allow you to produce "looks" seen in magazines and ads everywhere. They can be used individually or combined with other Actions - it's all up to you!

Editorializerz Action Set - 10 Actions

Painter / Painter Custom

Described as the easiest way to create very effective painted effects, this Actions could be worth the set all on its own!

Give your image the effects of brush strokes on canvas! The Painter Action runs all on its own with a gradual painterly effect to full detail around the middle areas of your image, and a final mask to give you the chance to add or take away from what has the painted look, as well as the overall opacity of the effect over your base image.

Painter Custom

This is a very powerful Action that gives you complete control of your final image. The Action stops and cues you to brush where you want the effect ( red gets painted). You can also have input on the brush strokes if you wish by turning on the dialogs next to the Paint Daubs and Dry Brush steps. The Feather step controls the transition of the effect and can be adjusted relative to file size ( web res would have settings of 10-25, wall prints 45-165 ).

The Fashionizers

These produce an image with a distinct edge to it. The different strengths (Light - ExtraTough) allow you to have various degrees of impact, and each has a built in layer with opacity slider to further adjust the effect after running it. Fabulous for fashion, and any images with an "edgy feel"... these have a wonderful quality when used after selective softening effects and with images that have a variety of edges and textures. The Action finishes with a brush tool selected so that you may paint in or out on the selected mask layer to adjust where and how much the effect is seen ( see above Shortcuts ).

Booty Buster

Ok, stop laughing already... This Action is intended to "diminish" the lower quadrant of your framed image. It won;t necessarily work on all images, but play with it and you might be surprised how effective it really can be. The first info box can be turned off by unchecking the "Stop" step at the beginning.

Blue Steel / Blue Cloud

Here you get an image that has a distinct edge to it ( Steel) or softness ( Cloud) with an underlying Blue Tonalilty. Opacity layers control the amount of natural color you see, and the mask are setup for you to paint out the image to the "blueness" underneath.

InfraRedders Action Set - 14 Actions

InfraRed is a very funky look, but is also finicky as to how it works on each image. The best thing you can do is to play around and get a feel for the different actions and see what works for you. Scenics and images with a lot of skin tones ( portraits) react differently, but you can use anything you want at any time.

InfraRed Color

This emulates the effects that are captured when using InfraRed Color film. As with most of the Actions, you can further adjust the final look by using the opacity slider on the InfraRed Image Glow layer.

InfraRed B/W (Light - Heavy w/ Soft or Glow etc...)

As above, but in B/W. Different images will react differently to these Actions, and adjusting the image colors before running the Action creates new results yet again!

Light - Heavy - This is the intensity of the conversion to the B/W IR effect. If your image loses too much detail, best to go to a lighter step and try again before moving on. Different images give different results so keep playing and you'll get a feel for what works best.

Soft - Glow - These options provided degrees of softness to the white IR areas. Soft refers to a Gaussian effect with a soft, texture-less ambience, whereas the Glow has more of a diffuse edge to its soft effect. Extra Soft and Strong Glow are variations on the strength and appearance.

All of these Actions have important PopUp info steps which can be turned off by un-checking the "Stop" steps in the Action.

ColorOvers Action Set - 7 Actions

This set has a variety of Actions that combine Color and Monochromatic images for wonderful pastel possibilities.

The ColorOvers have intensities of Light - Strong as they place a color image over a straight B/W version of your original.

The ColorOver Blue places it over a wonderful BlueToned rendition.

The Illustration and Soft Glow ColorOvers work through a series of steps to alter the base monochromatic image for either a surrealistic or soft look. They both have a custom version that walks you through a process allowing you to mask and protect the areas where you want to retain the detail that is in your original image. The masked (red) areas will be assharp as your original, while the other areas will have the Illustrative or Glow effects applied to the underlying image.
