These are actions for certain looks that may be desired and are intended as a starting point for further creativity. The B/W actions is useful in that you can have control over contrast as well as which colors reproduce darker or lighter on B/W by using the saturation and lightness sliders on the adjustment layers,

Production Set - 8 Actions

The Unsharp mask settings are generally intended for web, desktop prints, press prints and Large format prints respectively. As always, they are subject dependent and should be viewed at 100% for their effect. See notes above for adjusting the values. USM is usually the last step before output and shouldn't be saved with your original file.

The Frontier proof action includes a profile conversion for files in the Adobe98 color space, use the sRGb action if your files are already in that color space.

The Logo proof action looks for a separate file with your logo in it at about 2" wide and 72dpi. For transparent edges (rather than a box logo) the file needs to have a transparent b/g so your file with the logo and transparency around it should have the base layer as 'layer 1" rather than the flattened background default.

Retouch Set - 6 Actions

The dust actions are handy for eliminating dust from CCD's or from dirty scans, also for cosmetic touchups and restorations!

The portrait "porcelain" actions give you the choice of painting in the effect or painting out the effect, depending on your selection.

The retouch facial layers action is intended to be used after the Skin softening actions for final fine tuning of the retouching process. You make use of the mask layers and paint in the desired effect.
